Running Firefox 61.0.1 on Windows 10.

I'm having a problem where Firefox reloads an old (cached) version of the CNN.Com homepage when I click "back" after viewing an article.

Details: 1. I have CNN.com as a pinned tab in Firefox. When I launch Firefox from Windows, and go to this tab, the browser shows the content from the last session where I viewed the website (usually from the previous day). 2. So, I refresh the page, and Firefox loads the latest content, as expected. 3. Now, I click on any of the links on the page to view an article. It loads the article as expected. 4. Then, I click the browser's "back" button. Firefox displays the OLD homepage content that it showed BEFORE I had refreshed the page. I have to refresh the homepage AGAIN to see the current content!

Note that many links on the CNN.com homepage will open in new browser windows or tabs (CNN is very inconsistent this way). This problem only occurs on links which open in the same browser window/tab.

I also have a (possibly related) problem where, when I launch Firefox, the CNN.com tab sometimes displays the last article I viewed, even though I was viewing the homepage when I previously closed the browser.

Some of the things I've done to try and solve this include clearing the Firefox cache and other history data, and running Firefox in safe mode without add-ons.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.
