I cannot delete even one bookmark. I'd like to delete them all and start fresh
I have tried to delete bookmarks but the program will not allow it. I have so many bookmarks -- and for unknown reasons I have literally HUNDREDS of bookmarks called "MileIQ" and more HUNDREDS of them called "The Makaton Charity." I have no idea where they came from but the program will not let me delete any of them.
I want to get rid of ALL of my bookmarks, 100% of them, and start fresh. I cannot do them in bulk and I cannot delete them singly. There must be a way.

Download the Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer
If you do not want history or sessions or forms then suggest going about uninstall this way : Uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData if they remain.
This is the location that Firefox puts your Profile :
You can delete it all if want nothing.
Suggestion at this point is to run MS Disk Cleanup, then run it again and Click on Clean System Files, there will be gigs there for deletion.
fyi for the future when start getting bookmarks again :

You can delete places.sqlite and possible places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal temp files and remove the compressed .jsonlz4 backups in the bookmarkbackups folder to start with fresh bookmarks.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
The name of an automatically created JSON bookmarks backup in the bookmarkbackups folder includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once. You also see this count in the Restore menu drop-down list.
- bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.
- Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore
