I reinstalled Ubuntu on my PC and have formatted the hard disk. This has led to my Thunderbird mail profile being overwritten and I cannot remember my password.

I cannot find an easy way to recover my password and email acccount.

Thanks

No it is not. There is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account so there is no password for such an account. Email accounts come from email providers. Contact your email provider to sort out your email password. Get to where you can log into your account at the providers webmail site. Then when you know your email username and password you can add it to the new Thunderbird installation.
