Firefox 61.0.2 (Mac) does not display some web pages properly (blank screen) but Chrome and Safari do.

E.g: the nytimes.com home page works fine, as do some others. But this page https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/28/technology/personaltech/mac-malware-protection.html opens, then switches to a blank screen. This happens with some others as well. When I paste that URL into Chrome or Safari, no problem.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Thanks, but I tried that (am in Firefox Safe Mode right now). The page still opens, then turns blank. No Tracking Protection shield in the URL bar. Before entering Safe Mode, I tried clearing the cache, exiting and then reloading Firefox: same problem. This all began with 61.0.2.

PS -- my URL bar's information icon shows that this site (nytimes.com) has permission to open pop-up windows (this permission has been in place for years. I'm a journalist, and look at this site a dozen times a day -- no problem until now.)

I'm on a 2018 Macbook Pro running the most recent High Sierra, 10.13.6.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?
