To bring up the menu bar (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help) temporarily, press Alt. If you would like it to remain there all the time, right click in the tab bar (but not on a tab) and select Menu Bar. To see the bookmarks bar, right click in the tab bar (but not on a tab) and select Bookmarks Toolbar.
