Either you got malware or security software issues blocking any websites. Not enough information to know what is going on here.

Turn blank or open blank?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

I run linux, I do not have internet security programs. I tried everything, like safe mode, no hardware acceleration, reinstalled firefox, tried nightly too and it has the same problem, right now I have to be forced to use chrome to write this.

I honestly can't remember anymore if I did remove the folder or not, I tried so many things, but I uninstalled firefox now and removed everything related to mozilla/firefox on the disk, I'll see if it fixes it.

Try to reinstall Firefox.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (65.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

I uninstalled firefox and deleted the .mozilla directory, installed it again and still have the same problem, I'll try install it directly from the official site instead of my distro repos.
