I like to have all my mail recieved in the order in which they come in....that is most current email on top. I opened Thunderbird today to find messages all mixed up. I tried to set the "view" to see if that helps but no good.

Hi In Thunderbird if you click a heading of a column, the mail will sort in order for that column. Can you see whether the messages are in order of sender, or subject, or size? There should be a tiny triangle beside the column name that is controlling the sort order. To set this to sort by date just click on the word 'Date' at the top of the column. Click again to reverse the sort order. You might also have the messages displaying in 'threads' or 'conversations' - this can make it hard to see whether they are sorted by date. Best wishes, Agnes
