Download von .lnk Dateien schlagen fehl
Hallo alle zusammen, aktuell ist mir aufgefallen das man im Firefox .lnk Dateien nicht Downloaden kann. Der Download schlägt immer Fehler. Dies wurde bereits mit mehreren Personen und Geräten getestet, allerdings tritt überrall der selbe Fehler auf. Über einen anderen Browser besteht das Problem nicht, hier kann man ohne Probleme die Dateien Downloaden. Ich bin verschiedene Lösungsschritte von Mozilla durchgegangen um das Problem zu beheben, allerdings war dies leider ohne Erfolg. Profil zurückgesetzt, Firefox neu installiert, Download Ordner geleert, Download Ordner zurückgesetzt, Cookies gelöscht usw. Kennt vielleicht jemand das Problem ggf. hat jemand einen Tipp wie man das Problem beheben kann? Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen. LG Alex

I think that .lnk files are links to an executable file, so I'm not sure why you need to download a file with this file extension instead of a file with a .exe file extension. The .lnk file extension is part of a list that contains restrictions for opening files, but you should still be able to download and save the file.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
Hallo vielen dank für die schnelle Antwort. Ich habe eine eigene Homepage und ich habe 3 cmd Daten fertig geschrieben um anderen leuten zu helfen manche Sachen am pc besser erreichen zu können. Diese Dateien haben die Endung .lnk. Um einen Fehler von einem Sicherheitsprogramm auszuschließen habe ich mein Antivierensystem bereits deaktiert und es erneut versucht, allerdings ohne Erfolg. Auch im Abgesicherten Modus habe ich keine Chance die Daten über den Firefox runterzuladen. Über einen anderen Browser z.B. Edge gibt es das Problem nicht, daher habe ich eigentlich auch ein Einfluss von einem Sicherheitsprogramm ausgeschlossen.
With what content type does the server send these .lnk files?
If the files are accidentally .cmd files, why don't you give them a .cmd file extension ?
Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?
I'm on Linux, so .lnk is likely not restricted like on Windows, but I can check the server response.

So the file is send as Content-Type: application/octet-stream This means that Firefox should show the download dialog.
What happens if you click the button on Windows ?
Note that you will have to save the file and that you likely can't open or run the file directly on Windows.
Ich kann die Datei garnicht ausführen da ich diese nicht mal runterladen kann. Wenn ich anklicke das er diese runterladen soll wird sie von Firefox normalerweise automatisch gespeichert. Beim Versuch sie runterzuladen kommt aber der Fehler das der Download fehlgeschlagen ist.
