Firefox assumes any search is an attempt to go to the website when I click enter. Help?

So for example I type in "MGSV," instead of showing results for "MGSV" it goes to MGSV.com when I click enter. I'm on mac and have never experienced this problem, until i restarted my mac recently

Hi dylan20kings, There are different ways that you can configure your address bar (sometimes called the "awesome" bar).

I have mine configured to search unless I enter a .com at the end of the entry (Image 1).

Set your search engine preferences on the Search Page (Image 2) and also other preferences on the Privacy & Security page (Image 3).

I hope this helps.
