How do I use the same Message Filter for all email accounts I have within the same profile without having to manually type in the information multiple times?

I have 4 email accounts on my domain. They are all set up in the default profile. I want to use the same Message filter for all 4 accounts. I really don't want to have to type in the information multiple times to create a message filter for each individual account. Additionally, the name that appears in the "From" column is not always the same as the sender information in the message header, i.e. Breaking News Alert appears in the From column. When I open the message, the header it may be "xxx@xxx.zzz.com" or "zzz@yyy.qqq.website". How can I set a message filter to read both, the "From" column and the sender information displayed in the message header? The jerks are tagging 3 of my 4 email accounts in my domain.

Copy the msgFilterRules.dat file from one account to another. Not sure what else you want to add to the filter rules - i.e. which message header. If it's not listed in the filter drop-down with From, Subject etc., you can add a Custom header. Add multiple rules by clicking the + box in the filter dialog.

When I add "Breaking News Alerts" to the message filter, no messages get filtered. If I add the 'From' email address from the header Brеаkіng Nеws Αlеrts <noreply@anticsoffend.website>, only messages from that address are tagged and filtered. Another email from "Breaking News Alerts" with the address from the header "Вrееkіng Νеԝs Αⅼеrts <noreply@preamboatconventietam.website>" does not get filtered. (Yes I caught the misspelling of breaking (Breeking)). Please notice in the attached screenshot below, the 'folder' screen showing all emails in that folder has multiple emails with "Breaking News Alerts" in the "From" column. When I sort the emails on the "From" column, "Breaking News Alerts" are found in what seems to be an unsorted fashion. I believe the sort action targets the 'From email address in the message header instead of the name shown in the "From" column, which accounts for the unsorted appearance. I would like to have the filter tag the name shown in the "From" column so it doesn't matter what the 'From' email address is. Does this help clarify or confuse the matter? By the way, I have set up a filter and used the + and - buttons to add address to the filter. Thank you.

I think you will find that trying to set up filters for junk mail is a losing proposition, as the junk senders mask and change the conventional headers to circumvent the well-intentioned filters. If you prefer filters to the built-in junk controls, it might help to post a picture of your filters, so we can suggest changes that might make them more effective.

Look at the message source (Ctrl+U) and the headers for common identifiers. Sometimes using 'contains' or 'ends with' is more effective than 'is'.

I have the same problem,

Another solution could be to copy a Message Filter from one account to another...

As you can copy the Message Filter into the same account!
