Everything was fine until last week when my Thunderbird ceased sending e-mail. I think the problem is in the outgoing e-mail (SMTP) section. My provider, TWC, said the correct configruration should be "mail.twc.com: but that I should check with Thunderbird to find out how to configure my computer correctly.

Outgoing Email Server: mobile.charter.net Port: 587 Connection Security: SSL/TLS or try STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal Password

Username = full email address.

This has been around for a while and should work, outgoing smtp server name: mail.twc.com

but since spectrum is now running the show perhaps it is time to use the settings they setout in their help page.
