Every time I log in to one of my bank accounts, the username is popping up with 2 saved user names. I looked for that information in Firefox Lockwise and the website does NOT show up. There isn't a password saved with it but it is giving me grief every time I log in to that account. How can I get rid of the saved username?

Is there a key icon next to the usernames in the drop-down list ?

Only the presence of the key icon means that the Password Manager adds the name(s) as a suggestion.

You can use these steps to remove saved items from an autocomplete drop-down list.

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list with cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key
  3. press Shift+Delete (68+) or Delete to delete the highlighted entry

Note that hovering with the mouse doesn't work.

If there's no password saved, it's not in Firefox Lockwise. In that case, Firefox has just saved the username as a regular form history item.

If you only want to delete specific saved form data, you can press the down arrow on your keyboard to view the list of items available for a specific field. Then, you can use the arrow keys to highlight the one you want to delete and press the Delete (Del) key on your keyboard to remove it from the list.

Alternatively, to clear all of the autofill data (also called form data) that Firefox has changed, you can do this from the Firefox settings page. If you go to the Privacy & Security section and scroll to the History section. There you can click the Clear History... button.

This will give you the ability to adjust what gets deleted. In this case, you'll only be clearing the saved form data, so you need to uncheck all of the checkboxes except for Form & Search History. In the time range option, you can select data from a certain time period or everything.

Once you've set the time range that you want, you can press the Clear Now button. The data will get erased. Restarting Firefox shouldn't be required, but if the data is still there, I'd recommend giving that a try.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the response, but the problem is still persisting after doing all that was suggested.

Can you confirm whether there is a key icon next to this entry in the drop-down list ?

You probably need to clear the entry if Firefox fills it automatically to be able to get a drop-down list. I personally disable auto-fill for passwords and either use the drop-down list or Fill Login in the right-click context menu.
