Here's the solution if the one listed about doesn't work.
Try This:
1. Go to address bar, type: about:config
2. Confirm that you will be careful
3. Search for the following preferences and set them all to FALSE
1. browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus 2. browser.urlbar.update1 3. browser.urlbar.update1.interventions 4. browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips 5. browser.urlbar.update1.view.stripHttps
4. Close and restart the Firefox browser and hopefully your address arrow should be back on the right hand side of the address bar.

Hi hetzermx, the Firefox 75 address bar automatically drops down showing the top row of Top Sites on the Firefox Home / new tab page when you click in the bar. The goal is to make those sites readily available everywhere, but for a lot of people who have ignored what is accumulating on that page, it isn't initially helpful.
You can "clean up" your Top Sites on the new tab page to make the list more useful. See: Customize your Firefox New Tab page.
Or you can (at least temporarily) switch off the connection to Top Sites as follows:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box on that page, type or paste URLB and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus preference to switch the value from true to false
After that change, when you press the down arrow in a blank address bar, or delete the current page address, the old list will display.
I put a fix for this on here a couple days ago. Should be on the forum somewhere.

Thank you, this solved my problem, thanks again
Note that browser.urlbar.update1 prefs will only work temporarily during the development stages of this new design as the main update1 pref is already gone in the current Nightly 77.0a1 builds. There is also a bug to remove browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus, so in a few months when Firefox 77 is released a workaround via prefs is likely no longer possible.
To revert the change in width and height to the location bar, an alternative is to use code in userChrome.css.
