Filesystem explorer crashes Firefox
Every action involving opening the file-browsing window, like downloading or uploading files, causes Firefox to crash. It doesn't happen when I try browsing my filesystem by typing "file://path/to/file" in the url window, but this doesn't let me download or upload anything. Restarting without plugins didn't do anything, the problem was still present.
I'm working on an up-to-date version of Arch Linux, but I'm not certain the issue isn't with my system. If anyone knows ANYTHING that could be causing this problem, please let me know how to check for it.
The problem started when I updated from Firefox 68 to Firefox 74.

Clarification: When downloading a window pops up allowing me to chose between opening with the default app (I can change that and browse installed apps) or saving the file. If I choose to save it the crash occurs. When uploading simply clicking the "Browse" button crashes Firefox.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.
- click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.
Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

As of the post Aki_66 linked to, the solution there seems windows-specific, or I don't understand it. If it's not, could you explain it to me better? As I understand it it bases on turning off "Expand to current folder", whatever that is, in windows file explorer.
As of the "Firefox crashes" page, I already tried reinstalling, starting in safe mode and downgrading, and got down to submitting reports and asking on the forum.
