Imported Mbox File Created a Strange 2nd File?

I imported a single 10GB Mbox file with 96K messages, took 2 hours to load, it's fine and working.

But it now has an "882" added at the end of the name, and there is a 2nd file right above it with about 12,000 messages. I dont know why or where that came from?

The 12,000 message file above never seems to load, I let it run and it makes no progress even though its a fraction of the amount of messages. See 2 images attached.

Any ideas what/why?

When you copy or import an mbox file, remove the .mbox extension:

Most users unsubscribe to AllMail, and import just Inbox and Sent, but I suspect the spurious folders are due to not removing the .mbox.

Oh yes, I remember i need to remove MBOX extension on the file, but I was thinking that was only for the manual method of dragging and dropping a mbox file into the local folders.

This particular time, I used a compatible add on I found and used the addons import feature. So I guess even then I must delete the mbox from the file name first?

i will do that then and retry. thanks
