Add-ons still effective when they do not appear in the tool bar?

Hi, I have a large number of add-ons so I took them away from the tool-bar and moved them to the global menu through the Personalize menu in Firefox when clicking on the 3 bars at the right hand side of my tool bar.

I was wondering if they are still active? I'm thinking of add-ons like Facebook container, Httpeverywhere, Privacy Badger, ublock origin and the likes.

As long as the extensions are enabled on the about:addons page they will continue to work even if you remove their toolbar icons. You only can no longer control them or see what they are blocking by clicking their icons.
