Firefox and Citrix
As part of a job we have been asked to install Firefox 78.4 ESR in to citrix for our published desktops. We originally had v68 ESR which works lovely however the security team have asked us to upgrade to v78. We did this however when we opened up a published desktop and ran firefox, the app opened up but nothing happened. We get no page loading, nothing on the screen apart from just firefox. So here are my questions What is the minimum version and requirements to run firefox v68 and v78? IE citrix versions, Server Versions etc Is there a document that lists all the changes since v68 to v78?
Is there any special install requirements when putting firefox in to a citrix based environment?
Thanks in advance.

There should be no special requirements for Citrix (and it's working for other folks).
Can you check the Javascript console (Ctrl+Shift+J) and see if there are any errors?
There are a lot of changes between 68 and 78.
In theory, we could use mozregression:
https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/
To try to track down when the problem started, but I'm not sure how easy that would be on Citrix.
We have an enterprise mailing list which allows you to connect with other folks using Firefox in the enterprise:
https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise
That might be a good place to go next if we can't figure it out.
Were you able to check on this?
Hi Mike. Sorry for the delay. I passed this on to the citrix admin and he has not come back to me. As such i am not sure if this helped or not. I will ask and let you know as soon as possible. Thanks again. Craig

Hi Mike. My colleague has not yet found the answer to this. He has discovered that something within the GPO is causing issues but not yet fully sure what.
We can get V68 to work with no issued so i would like to know if there is anywhere i can download all of the other versions from 69 to 77 so that he can install each one separately and see when it stops. That way we can try to work out which version is stops on.
I have asked about the mozregression tool but have not had a reply as of yet. Thanks
Yes, you can download individual releases here:
https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
And figure out what version the problem started with.
Are you saying it works if no GPO is applied?
