"Super-Bug" tabs and setting
I have several hundred tabs, tick them all and want to bookmark them, but that never works. Never! I uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled it. It still does not work. I've turned off all add-ons, it's still not working. The error has been present for 2 or 3 years! I also used a whole lot of tabs managers but not even one solved the problem, managers don't even see these tabs! In my case, Firefox is stable, pages open, so what makes it impossible to add or save tabs? I don't want to lose my open tabs. I searched all the help pages, tricks and it still doesn't work, nothing, nothing at all, not even reinstating a computer or anything else won't fix the problem. I will also add that the "Settings" menu does not open! This is unique (super-bug)!

I'm not sure what "tick them all" refers to.
There's no built-in way to bookmark all open tabs across all windows at once, but Firefox does have a feature to bookmark all of the tabs in the current window to a new folder. The shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+D, or you can find it on
- classic Bookmarks menu on the optional menu bar
- optional Bookmarks menu button for the main toolbar
Does that feature work? If not, is there any error message?
Are you still able to add one bookmarks manually, for example by clicking the star icon in the address bar? If that doesn't work, it can indicate a database problem (more details if needed).

Settings, formerly called Options, should open an internal page in a new tab. If you type or paste the address about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter, can Firefox show the page?

Ctrl+Shift+D = NOT WORK / NOR REACTION / NO MESSAGE ERROR /NOTHING HAPPEN This marks 1000 Tabs, but nothing else can be done, no reaction, no error, no message, I don't know how to write or add 1000 tabs to the bookmarks, I asked a many developers, for 3 years and no one can help, I tried 100 different ways and there's nothing I can do, do I really need to lose my data? "Reset firefox completely" = data loss Even moving the profile and trying to restore it always ends with the same problem, still nothing works, how to save all 1000 tabs to a text file, even the best of the best ways fails, because after saving it is 0KB, no data !!!

I do have a tool to convert a session history file to an HTML page of clickable links. However, I don't know whether it can handle that many tabs. If you want to try it:
(1) To open your profile folder...
You can open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > MoreTroubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, find the Profile Folder row. On that row, click the "Open Folder" button. This should launch Windows' File Explorer listing the contents of your current profile folder.
(2) Back up your session history files
In your profile folder, double-click into the sessionstore-backups folder. Save all files here to a safe location such as your Documents folder.
(3) What files did you find?
The kinds of files you may find among your sessionstore files are:
- recovery.jsonlz4: the windows and tabs in your currently live Firefox session (or, if Firefox crashed at the last shutdown and is still closed, your last session)
- recovery.baklz4: a backup copy of recovery.jsonlz4
- previous.jsonlz4: the windows and tabs in your last Firefox session
- upgrade.jsonlz4-build_id: the windows and tabs in the Firefox session that was live at the time of your last update
(4) Extract list of tabs
You can drag and drop one of the backed up filed onto a tool on my site to decompress the file:
https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html
Once the data appears in the box, click the Scrounge URLs button.
If you don't get a list within 15 seconds, that probably means the script is caught in a loop. You may need to close the tab to avoid a tab crash and then try again in a new tab.
If you get a useful list, use the Save List button to archive it as a web page of clickable links for future reference.

Whatever I would do is no response, nothing happens, even if I reinstall my Firefox installation, this error will come back again after a while. If I restore the backup then I have the same problem, still nothing I can do or copy any TABs, nothing, compile, nothing happens! This unique-bug-error occurs for 3 long years, and it is always tiring. I will add that I have never had problems like this with dozens of other similar Chrome, Firefox-like browsers
Hmmm Always Crash this Website (long time bugs!)
Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! NOT WORK
Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page. Will you help us?
Crash reports help us diagnose problems and make Firefox better. Report this tab Send an automated crash report so we can fix issues like this
Include the URLs of the sites you were on when Firefox crashed
Report background tabs Update preferences to automatically submit reports when Firefox crashes
You can drag and drop one of the backed up filed onto a tool on my site to decompress the file:
https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html
Drag and drop it always crashes the browser. This error has been around for a long time. This page concerns.

Is there an error message?
Also, third time asking: Are you still able to add one bookmark manually, for example by clicking the star icon in the address bar? If that doesn't work, it can indicate a database problem (more details if needed).
If I restore the backup then I have the same problem,
Do you mean one of Firefox's automatic bookmark backups? That wouldn't help.
Or do you mean your own backup from a day or two earlier? What exactly are you restoring?
Regarding the crash on the Scrounger page, 4MB is rather large. I only test files up to about 1MB (i.e., I test with my own session history files). Not much I can do about that, sorry.
You can run a script in the Browser Console -- separate window (Ctrl+Shift+J) -- to create an export of your currently live session to a JSON file. That is Firefox's storage format (decompressed), but can be arduous to mine for current URLs. Sorry I don't have a script for that second step. See:
Yes, yes, yes. only One can add(bookmsrks), but when I choose "SELECT ALL TABS" it does not work.
It seems to me from the chance to save 1000 open tabs (URL) will not be possible even after 3 years of hope, I will have to close it, because no tools can do it, even these most of the scripts. Lose forever because, cannot save all open tabs! (still open). but cannot save. Why stupid bugs firefox! Chrome is the best world browser, because there are never no bugs in them, stable . And it always works without a problem.
I saw that many users experienced this error, especially if the "Settings" option does not work, other options do not work. Many users do not know how to solve this "super-bugs" no universal solution, nor patches!

"Super-bug" has been around since 2015. For 6 years still it has not been fully solved on some computers / Windows systems Settings - not work Menu - not work Extension - not work Tabs not work and more....
Okay, so the problem is bookmarking some large number of tabs -- we don't know the cut-off -- fails silently. Have you checked for error messages in the Browser Console? I suggest opening the console first and clicking the trash can at upper left to clear the list. Then switch over to your Firefox window and try Ctrl+Shift+D. Then after allowing a decent amount of time for the function to run, check the console for any messages.
Regarding exporting URLs to a list, that certainly seems like something an add-on could handle. However, I'm not going to open 1000 tabs to test them myself. Which ones have you tried so far? This looks pretty simple and has decent reviews: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/urls-list/ (copy to clipboard instead of downloading as a file)
Regarding settings (formerly known as Options), what happens if you open a new tab and type or paste about:preferences in the address bar and press Enter to open the page? Is there an error?
Ctrl+Shift+D. Shortcut not work Console not work
about:preferences Possible Open, but not posible if click button "Settings"
Look bugs, not work
All extensions of this type do not work. See empty. Really all extensions show "Blank" empty
Regarding the Browser Console, are you saying it doesn't open, or it doesn't show any useful information? If it opens, is there any error message generated when you try to display the tabs list?
Errors Console
When I open a test profile and generate 500 tabs*, once they load, Bookmark All Tabs works in a couple seconds. So I don't think the problem is that you have exceeded Firefox's capacity.
The malformed URI error suggests that some of your tabs have a missing, incomplete, or invalid URL. If you have restored this session repeatedly over a long period of time, it's possible the session became corrupted and some of those tabs are zombie/ghost tabs. I think you are right to be concerned that at some point, this house of cards will all come tumbling down. However, I don't know of a good way to clean up the problem tabs.
I still think the Gist script is the best bet, but if that didn't work, hmm.
What zombies, ghosts. The year is 2021, the 21st century, such things should be fixed by developers. They should share the TOOLS. Find and automatically fix any potential Firefox problems. But we are in 2021 - there is still no solution to this problem, which has been present on many machines since 2015 and so it can occur, even after a clean reinstallation, at some point, if there is a tabs failure, this problem will show up again. That's why I hate Firefox more and more for these kinds of weird errors.
You won't experience such bizarre problems in Chrome Browser or Opera!

I saved your tool as JSON, but I can't export only URL links. I even tried to use Regular Expression in a powerful tool Emeditor/NotepadPlus etc., but each one crashes. This JSON is problematic, it is very large (27MB), it contains a extreeeemmee long line and will not be able to extract the [ O N L Y] simple Urls per line
I want to convert JSONxxx to Plaint TEXT (ONLY simple URLS!!!!!!!!!!)
Even using Online Converters always returns Error. I am powerless! How easy, fast, simple to extract only url? I hate JSON and other extensions as much as I do. This always complicates additional problems for common users. Firefox is the world's most troublesome browser.
Convert to HTML also not work, error
https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html Not saving due to failure parsing JSON: TypeError: oBmks.children is undefined

In Google Chrome over 5000 tabS works without any problems, in modern browsers it works, because tabs are not loaded without clicking, but are put to sleep. I ask developers to say: What is Firefox's TAB upper limit, and does it solve a 6-year problem?
The problem occurs because of multiple TABs, after all TABs are closed: all settings work. I don't know what is the upper safe TAB limit in Firefox? But when you have a lot of RAM, why does this problem occur in 64-bit applications?
