Two problems after last update (v96) - Processes Limit missing and system theme wrong display

more options

Hello. I updated Firefox yesterday and I have 2 little problems:

1. Can't limit number of processes. Option in settings is missing. They are always about 8 FF processes, so it's hard to kill them quickly from task manager.

2. I use Win7 with classic theme, FF is set to use system theme, and userchorme.css is put in Firefox profile folder. I don't like new unreadable tab design and and modern designs at all. Also I like simple classic look. After last update my URL-toolbar and active tab starts to display white. They were correct colour before update.

I'm uploading screenshot and userchrome.css. Thank you in advance for your answers.

  1. We're updating the process architecture to be more secure and RAM friendly - now you can't really limit the number of processes.
  2. The frontend is under the heavy development all the time, so we cannot guarantee future updates won’t impact your customizations. For this reason, Mozilla does not officially support style rules customization.

Ok. Thanks. for quick reply. I haven't any other problems with processes (and I think newer FF works little faster than few versions ago)

I even not hear about custom CSS before v89 update, which makes tabs look awful and unreadable. Is there any place when user can write some interface suggestions for Mozilla?

I think these are colors that can be set by themes, but if the theme doesn't set the color, then Firefox will use its default color. However, Firefox 96 is very new, so I haven't dug into those details yet.

Mozilla has heard that many people don't like the tab changes in Firefox 89; I'm not sure anyone else needs to mention that. However, if you have a more specific suggestion, Mozilla opened a crowd-sourcing site for new product ideas over here:

Unfortunately, the search is pretty terrible, so it can be hard to find and vote on existing posts. In order to post or vote, you need to sign in, but it's not integrated with your Firefox Account, it uses either a new account or a social account.
