was using outlook 2010 switched to this about a month ago, outlook was still working until today. Went to thunderbird because I want my mail on my desktop. Can't send email the send box is not active I am new to this and I am sure that I am not getting most of my email

Generally the sending of mail is not enabled until the email is addressed. Note that an email is not addressed until you press Tab or enter after entering the address or moving the insertion point to say the message body.

The send is also disabled if there is no valid outgoing server (is there a From filled in) Because it has to go somewhere to distribution.

The send is also disabled if there is no valid outgoing server (is there a From filled in) Because it has to go somewhere to distribution.
