Thunderbird is not responding since a windows 10 update on Nov.14.21
Two month ago I wanted to read my E-Mails but Thunderbird was not responding. I got a window "sorry, thunderbird crashed send feedback so we can help you". I returned many but nothing Happened. This issue was right after a windows 10 auto update also lost a file from Open Office (had a copy on my desktop) and windows wont print since then. 2 MS support tech were unable to fix it after working for hours on it. I am worried to lose the stored messages if I uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird. Maybe an update can fix it but I can not to anything with it just getting the message "shut down or wait for it to respond". TBird is working OK on my Desktop Win 7 with the last release update. Not rsponding is TBird on release channel 91.2.1 64 Bit on my HP Laptop. Any help would be very much appreciated. Best regards, Alfred Horak [email removed from public]

Your stored messages are at c:\(yourname)\appdata\roaming\thunderbird If you're afraid of losing that information, I suggest you copy it somewhere such as c:\PROFILE. Then, if problems surface, you will have a complete copy. Once a reinstall is done, TB may need assistance in locating it. If, after reinstalling TB it starts with attempt to create an email account, click the Home tab, rightclick on top of screen and activate menu bar. Then, click home>more troubleshooting information. then, scroll down to Profiles. Click about:profiles and it shows known profiles. Click 'create new profile' and browse to/select your profile and continue to TB.
