I downloaded Thunderbird and was so anxious to replace my MS Outlook with a powerful email app. I installed the program on my MS 10 PC and on my MS 11 Laptop. The laptop install works great, but the PC install will not send emails and I have tried everything. Restarted in Safe Mode, reinstalled the program, made sure smtp was set up correctly and nothing seems to work. I would hate to go back to Outlook, but it looks like I might have to.

The settings are correct. What happens when you send? Using a VPN? What's the antivirus? If it's different from the one on the laptop, and incompatible with TB, that might explain the result. The TB profile folder should always be an exclusion in AV settings.
