Hello guys :)

We are a business actively sending in email newsletters on New Arrivals and so on, and we are using Thunderbird for our emails.

A recent newsletter looks framed when we view it from Thunderbird, but the boxes are not there from the Gmail view.

Hope someone can help us out. Cheers!

I will assume that is in compose, as those are table borders than normally only appear in the compose window.

Hi @Matt

Thank you for your reply :) Nope, this is not from the compose window. It is a direct view of the email received.

It's as if the incoming mail thinks it's 'edit as new message' - like a draft email - I'm sure I've seen that before - it was a while ago.

Please check what is set up for the Drafts etc.

  • Right click on mail account name folder in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
  • This opens Account Settings in new tab
  • click on 'Copies & Folders'

Please check: Keep Draft messages in:

  • If this is an imap mail account - select 'Other' and choose 'Drafts on imap account name'

Does the mail account have more than one identity ?

  • Select mail account name in left pane
  • on right - click on 'Manage Identities' button
  • If there is more than one identity - select each in turn to check what is set up for 'Drafts'.

If you change anything please restart Thunderbird.
