Thunderbird is KILLING my Windows computer during start up

Windows 10. Thunderbird 91.6.2 (32 bit).

When I start up my computer in the morning, Thunderbird locks up EVERYTHING.

100% disk usage on the drive where my profile is stored.

This blocks everything else on the computer for up to 5 - 10 minutes now!

This bug started a few revisions ago and I've been hoping updates would fix it but nope -- it keeps getting worse.

I'm going to try moving my Thunderbird profile/data to another, newer drive just in case it's a failing hard drive.

Aloha.

Thank your for your response.

Mea culpa - It appears that my major problem was a failing disk drive. I've cloned the drive to another spare drive I had on hand, replaced the questionable drive and things appear to be working normally.

Time will tell but I think this may solve the problem.

Sorry to bother but maybe my issue will help someone else someday.

Hello there chetdude. We have read your message. We try to help you.

What kind of a computer is this? Can I ask?a laptop?or desktop? Apple? Ssd?

How are you so shore it s the Thunderbird Software? 100% of disk usage can be several things on your pc. In Windows 10 or 11. From malware to outdated drivers or firmware. Your problem is the result of several issues.

Cleaning up the places where the issue s are placed at that can be effective. Start with a cleaning up first.
