Why will Spellchecker only correct ONE word?

So I'm running British English. Spellchecker underlines all the incorrect words in red, and I can then right-click and correct ONE word. However once I have corrected the first word, all the remaining red disappears, and I can nolonger rightclick on incorrect words to correct them.

If I then click spellcheck off, and then on again, it will remark the remaining incorrect words, and I can again correct ONE word.
