This is a new problem with recent releases (maybe a month or two?). I get a message about a tls handshake failing. This happens on major sites like NY Times, WAPost, among many others.
A page reload always seems to fix the problem, but my guess is that some timer has been set too tight.
Does this help? https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/119513-resolving-ssl_error_access_denied_alert-in-firefox Jun 01, 2015

I'm not expert enough, it seems like it would open a security hole.
But thanks for the suggestion.
