Hi
Do you have Startpage installed as an add-on or as the default search provider in Firefox?
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

At one time I had Startpage as my search engine but switched to DuckDuckGo. I deleted the Startpage addon long ago.

Unfortunately, the tab I want to delete is not viewable when you follow the "How do I delete a bookmark" topic instructions. It is only viewable when you click on the Bookmarks tab that I sent an image of. This link is imbedded somewhere in my OS so as an unscrupulous marketing ploy.
Hi
Aside from making sure it is not installed as an add-on from the Add-ons option in the Firefox menu, this support article should help:
