I am now running Thunderbird 102.2.2. Apparently, it installed a new update yesterday and now all I get is mostly a blank screen. It shows no email -- no folders -- nothing. My profile looks like it is still there but nothing shows. I have seen several other threads going back several years but none of the fixes outlined there seem to work. At a loss as to what to do. Does 102.2.2 have a bug in it and if so how do I uninstall it and go back to an earlier version?

Well, it appears you have three profiles that were all updated today. Yes, that is a problem, but it's above my pay grade. You could try each by clicking help>moretroubleshootinginformation, scrolling down to profiles, click 'about:profiles' and click each in sequence to see which one has your information.

Try clicking View>Layout as the entries there may be UNticked.

This did not solve the problem.

Maybe a screenprint of what you see might help. Would be preferable than going to prior version to fix it here.

This is what I get

[Profile0] Name=default-release IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/opygfl8p.default-release

[General] StartWithLastProfile=1 Version=2

The attachment is what is in my Profile folder. There are a number of profiles in here. Could that be causing the problem.

I was able , after some time to do a workaround and retrieve everything. Thanks for your help.

What exactly did you do? I and it looks like many other have this problem after updating. I have two profiles - this being the new one that contains all my stuff: default-release

It seems to be the one TB is pointing to but shows nothing in the nav pane.

Itr was a long work around. I found my old profile and had to rebuild it into the new profile. I could never --- no matter what I did -- get it to recognize the old profile. No matter how I pointed it, I kept getting a mostly blank screen. so, I undated to a new profile and imported everything over one mailbox by one. I had 9 different mailboxes I was using so it was a pain to do so. I still don't know what went wrong but it had something to do with an update, I think. It took the better part of four hours to do all that and took me probably another four hours to figure out what to do. I would recommend to anyone doing this to make a good backup of your profile first.
