Is there a way to show that there are starred items in one account? Or some other way of doing what I need?
I (obviously) have all of my accounts shown on the left side of the page, but there's no way that I can find to show that I have starred items in any one of them. I just had to migrate from Eudora; in that program I was able to look at my combined inbox and know which emails I'd saved (sometimes for months) for when they become necessary. I simply marked them unread and they were at the top of my list. If I mark them unread in Thunderbird, I won't know which accounts have new emails and which have ones I've saved for later. If I star the saved ones, I have no way of knowing which accounts have these saved ones.
I have another question here asking if there's a way to combine inboxes; this would alleviate the problem. If there isn't, I'm trying to find some other way of being able to see these without going into each of my accounts separately.

Thank you soooo much, sfhowes! I'd previously made the unified folder; but, because of the way it lined up in the list of folders with all of the rest showing, I didn't realize that it actually had done what I wanted.
