I have just switched from MS Mail to Thunderbird. I imported my contacts list, and it seems fully stored and readable in Contacts. However, when I select a contact and click on the 'To' box, the name loads into the email To line, but not the email address. The name is red. What am I doing wrong, or is there something Ihave still to set up?

my guess is your import of the CSV file from MS mail failed to correctly identify the fields so the email addresses imported do not contain the address, only the name.

I follow what you say, but the email addresses are all accredited to the correct person in my Thunderbird Address Book - they just don't appear in the 'To' box when writing an email. I will repeat the transfer process to see if anything odd pops out.

BTW, what is the difference between "Address Book", "Personal Address Bok" and "Contacts List"?

I have a long list of this type of question!!
