Running two identical IMAP profiles

more options

I am running Thunderbird on my PC, with two accounts, both on IMAP mail.

I want to run Thunderbird on my laptop as well, with exactly the same interface and accounts.

Can I copy the profile and ini from my PC to my laptop? Will this work?

If they are both windows, it will work (It may also work with Linux and mac, but I don't know those). - first, install Thunderbird on the second pc and exit. Do NOT restart until final step below. - on original PC, exit thunderbird - copy c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird to a USB stick from original pc - copy the Thunderbird folder from USB stick to

c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming on the second pc (this will prompt for overwrite. Allow that.)

- start thunderbird on second pc and it should be identical
