Deleting junk mail
The settings menu gives me the option to mark an email as junk and then either move it to the junk folder or delete it. Fair enough.
But once messages are in the junk folder, I am trying to find an easy way to THEN delete them without clicking on "delete selected messages" which then sends them on to the trash file, where they AGAIN need to be deleted.
Assuming there's currently no way to do this, would it be difficult to add "empty folder" option to the junk file? That would save an unnecessary step.
I don't like to delete them straight off because I might accidentally delete a message I want to keep, so I use the junk folder to give them a second chance as it were. But I'm trying to avoid the third chance.

Puzzling. For all of my accounts, if I highlight the Junk folder for an account, then right-click, one of the displayed menu options is "Empty Junk." Is that option not shown on your accounts?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that solves the problem. I never thought to click on the folder. I was selecting the MESSAGES and then it's not an option. Thanks again.
