unable to open emails from Royal Mail on Firefox, but they WILL open on Safari and DuckDuckGo
Hello!
I have a problem which seems to be only with my Firefox browser regarding Royal Mail emails!
I use a Mac desktop computer, and my email account is with btinternet.com
Recently, when I get an email notification about an (expected) delivery from Royal Mail, the actual content of the email is blank when I’m using Firefox as my browser.
At first, I assumed this was btinternet.com blocking Royal Mail, for some reason. However, I discovered yesterday that this problem does not exist when I access my email via Safari or DuckDuckGo! I can access the content of the emails just fine if I use either of these other browsers.
I also have Firefox installed on my iPad AND on my Android phone. The same thing happens on both of these devices as well—so this is not an issue with my Mac computer. I can access the content of the email from Royal Mail via either Safari (on my iPad) or DuckDuckGo (on iPad AND my android phone.) However, neither of these will show me the email when I use Firefox.
I can access the actual Royal Mail website with Firefox on my computer, no problem. It’s just when I try to open emails from them that the problem arises.
No idea what is causing this anomaly. I can’t pinpoint exactly when it started, but it’s been going on for at least a month and maybe more.
I use the latest version of Firefox at all times on all devices, and my operating systems are up to date on my devices as well. (I have the latest version of Sonoma on my Mac, I have iOS 17.7 on my iPad, and whatever the latest update for Motorola e14 is.)
I’m hoping you can offer a bit of advice. This is very annoying, as Firefox is my default browser on both my Mac AND my Motorola phone.

I don't know about the mobile version but on a computer when you are trying to view the e-mail click the shield at the left of the Search/URL bar and switch "Enhanced Tracking Protection" off. Refresh the page and see if that helps.
You could also try viewing it in Troubleshooting mode. Press Alt-H and choose it from the drop-down menu that appears. If it works in that it's most likely an extension or some personal setting of yours that's the cause.
Hi The Pillenwerfer (love that name, by the way.)
No, neither of these two suggestions worked at all. Did the Shield URL thing ...nope. Tried troubleshooting ...and couldn't get any drop-down menu by pressing Alt/H. Nothing happened.
I don't have any extensions set up on my computer or my other devices. And I also can't imagine what personal setting would cause this to happen ONLY with Firefox and only with Royal Mail emails on several different devices (on several different occasions, sent by different sellers from different organisations!) Totally bamboozled.... But thanks so much for the effort. I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple. Like me.

You can also get to Troubleshooting Mode by clicking the three horizontal lines at the top right then Help and it's amongst the next choices.
Earlier I could look at an RM e-mail on the HotMail web-site but as it came via e-Bay and not direct it may not be a fair comparison.
I suggested the shield thing as it's fairly new and seems like the sort of thing that could mistake something innocent for something nasty and block it.
As you say it's blinking odd.
