firefox won't save my passwords. the remember option comes up but when I click on it nothing happens.
When I enter a password the password manager asks me if I want to remember, never for this site, or not now option does come up but when I click on the remember option nothing happens. If I choose the not now option the menu bar disappears. I had a problem and had to reformat my hard drive. After reinstalling Win7 and Firefox I transfered the informaiton from the old version of Firefox that I saved before reformatting the hard drive the way I found on the help section using the file found in the troubleshooting information section. None of the passwords carried over. That's why I tried to get the pass words saved and found that it didn't work.
This happened
Every time Firefox opened
== I reinstalled firefox after reformatting my hard drive

Neither of those links helped. Firefox asks if I want the password saved and then when I click remember, nothing happens. If I click the not now the options bar closes.
I just went to the Help>Troubleshooting Information>Open Containing Folder>Organize>Select All then deleted everything. When I reopened Firefox my homepage asked for my password, the option for Firefox to remember, I clicked remember and now it is working.
By the way the previous post was me as well. Just a typo, should have been stlblues1226 as well.
I have the exact same problem, but on Mac OS there is not an open containing folder option! Help!
