Firefox hangs up when I'm on the census records from ancestry.com

Firefox hangs up when I'm on Ancestry.com and go to a census record. When I try to scroll down or up the census record the page hangs up. My operating systems is windows XP and Norton is my anti-virus software. I have given ancestry.com as a trusted site in firefox. Someone sent in a solution, but it was for Windows 7. They switched to Norton from McAfee. I already have Norton

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
