One problem you do have is 2 versions of Shockwave Flash (aka Adobe Flash Player); one very old version (6.0 r79) and the current version (10.1 r53). Some of the very old versions had to be manually moved into the Firefox program installation folder to work properly. Leaving the old version can/will cause problems viewing Adobe Flash videos/animations. See the following to try to remove that old version: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+the+Flash+plugin#Flash_does_not_work_properly_and_or_will_not_update Alternately, you may need to remove the old version of Adobe Flash from Windows Start > Settings > Control > Add or Remove Programs; look for Adobe Flash Player 6 Plug-in. If not there, do not un-install anything else.
Check your version of some (not all) plugins here:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
When updating Adobe Flash follow the link in this article for updating to avoid getting the Adobe DLM (Download Manager) which you do not need: Updating Flash
Other Issues: ~~red:You have installed plug-ins with known security issues. You should update them immediately.~~
Update Shockwave for Director (aka Shockwave Player): your ver. 8.5 (~~red:very old~~); current ver. 11.5.7.609 (important security update released 2010-05-11; see http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-12.html) NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player. ~~red:Check your version here~~: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ SAVE the installer to your hard drive (Desktop is a good place so you can find it). When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit), locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete. See: Installing Shockwave
TXguy - Tried your solution. Did not find any related plug-ins. Do not have Shockwave installed. Still having the same issue!
In your original post, click on the "+" under Plugins Installed. You will see 2 "Shockwave Flash" with different version numbers. Also, Did you look in Tools > Add-ons > Plugins? Did you go the first link to see how to identify the older version if it is in the Firefox program installation folder "plugins"?
Your older version of Shockwave for Director shows as "Macromedia Shockwave for Director".
