I have no sound online. My sound is fine when I'm offline,I can listen to music, watch movies, etc.. but I get no sound from any website. And yes my speakers are hooked up correctly. everything was fine then two things happened, I got a windows update my computer didn't like and my husband let a friend use my computer to look something up(he use ie8 with all security off)

I've tried (after a virus scan) installing codecs,fixing the registry,checking my internet settings and my firewall,restoring to a date before I had a problem and reinstalling my sound drivers all to no avail. I also updated and added audio pluggins to firefox.
