I have been a user of FF for years but when I instaledl the 3.6.10 updates I can no longer get firefox to initiate. I tried to uninstall the program and got an error. When I tried to delete the folder form the program files x86 I was told that I needed administrator permission to delete or change the file. I looked in the folder and found that the FF.exe was gone but there were several fills still listed. I tried to delete the folder but I was told that I needed administrator permission - I am the adminsitrator. I could delete all the files individually but scriptdiff.dll.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

If you can't fix it with the above listed scanners then you need to ask advise on one of the forums that specialize in malware removal mentioned in the Popups_not_blocked article.
