I recently updated my plugins including Java, as advised. Now I am wondering if I should remove or disable the Java console extensions which appear in the extensions list, leaving the latest 'version'. Wish I knew more about this stuff, in case this is a silly question...

Also: I am not really having trouble, things are working ok, as far as I can tell. I am just asking becuase I am worried about security.

The Java Console extension will be installed with each update of Java. In the past, Java update has not been good about "cleaning" up old left-overs. You can safely remove the old Java Console versions. You can leave, but disable (unless you are a Java developer.), the current version that you have installed. Your current version is 6.0.24 which is the most current version. In that article below version 6.0.24 is {CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0024-ABCDEFFEDCBA}
