When I type in a URL in the address bar, for example http://www.LinkedIn.com sometimes I am forced to Yahoo!.com and an error is displayed:

Yahoo! 404 Page not found

Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found

Showing related results for: http://websearch.ask.com/redirect?client=ff&src=kw&tb=FW...

Under "Tools" on your Firefox browser, select Add-Ons. On the Add-Ons page, select the Extensions tab. Scroll through the list until you find the Yahoo toolbar add-on. Disable, and then remove the add-on. I've had no problems since I did this earlier this evening. Easy fix!
