Can I hide site icons and folder icons from my bookmarks toolbar?
I've just switched to Firefox 5 from Firefox 3.6.18. There, I had set up a nice, efficient, clean looking bookmarks toolbar with all the essentials. Now it's cluttered up with little blue folders and site icons. Even java script links have a little folded paper icon... yuck.
How can I get rid of these?
They do go away if in toolbar customization I choose to show text only, but I like the icons for the navigation bar. Perhaps an option for differentiated settings could be in a future update? (Still, they never showed in Firefox 3, so why the change?) Until then, if there is a workaround I'd love to hear it.

dmcritchie: That's a pretty sketchy and roundabout way to get there. If we're going the Add-on route, I'd do something like this first: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bookmarks-deiconizer/

That deiconizer extension is huge, is hard to read, and with the drop-downs does not save as much space as the solution I suggested. What is so round about in installing an extension and then a style. If you don't have the extension going to the style would install the extension but it would be best to install the extension yourself directly from addons.
The style I suggested is
- Bookmarks Toolbar Fx4 Blue/Folders, Red/Bookmarks
- http://userstyles.org/styles/46947
I've included a screen shot here since userstyles.org is not doing a good job of displaying images
If you install the "Stylish" extension you have thousands of styles to choose from that are small even compared to the smallest of extensions.
The folders are shown on the Bookmarks Toolbar as blue text, and the bookmarklets and other bookmarks used as buttons are shown in red text.
- Bookmarks Deiconizer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/bookmarks-deiconizer/
