Just for starters try - Control +0(zero).
I've just had a look at your system details.
You have three pieces of nasty software all of which cause major problems - MyWebSearch, Ask Toolbar and FBSMTWB(Fast Browser Search Make The Web Better!).
Google them if you are in any doubt. You will find information and advice - not from the people behind those or Fun Web Products or MindSpark. You can also look in the Search Firefox Help box above.
You can laboriously delete each one by going to Add-ons>Extensions and Plugins and also look in Windows Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs(Programs and Features in Win7) but they may leave debris behind in about:config and Windows Registry. You are showing as using Fx3.6.17. Is this correct? These types of problems often interfere with your User Agent String.
However, I think you might do better to start all over with an uninstall and re-install of a more up-to-date Firefox, eliminating all your add-ons but first backing up your bookmarks and settings.
This problem - and it is a very serious one - is beyond my capabilities.
One of the top contributors should come along some specific and concrete advice.
Help anyone?
let him try your solutions first alan, they might work :-P
Thank you very much for your answers. I think I will uninstall and re-install de software again, by the way I forgot to tell you, about 2 weeks ago I changed my Hard-Disck (from 160Gb to 500Gb copying the information with the software provided by WD) ......may be that has something to do with these few problems, in any case, I just remarked them after updating Firefox.
You can set the default zoom function by installing this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
If you buy a new hard disk, you can add that to the machine without the need to remove the original. Most motherboards have at least two SATA connectors free to which you can attach new HDs.
You can format it from within Windows by opening the Computer Management console. Type compmgmt.msc in the Run field (on your Start menu) and click OK to launch it. Then go to the Storage menu. Windows will subsequently assign it a new drive letter which you'll see when you open Windows Explorer.
If you still have the 160GB drive, replace it in the machine because that one will have the operating system on it still (hopefully).
In any event, you cannot copy the Windows installation from one drive to another. You must install it using the Windows CD.
You have a corrupted user agent if you really have Firefox 5.0.1 (Help > About)
- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; es-ES; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110420 AskTbSTT/3.12.2.16749 Firefox/3.6.17 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) FBSMTWB
