Your article doesn't explain how to turn on Do Not Track. When I click on the link in the email newsletter a new window opens up which briefly shows a screen shot but then the page loads to an article that doesn't explain how to turn on Do Not Track.

Selecting the "do-not-track" setting will only make Firefox send a specific HTTP header (DNT=1) to a web server.

It is up to the server to do something with that request.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Tracking: "Tell web sites I do not want to be tracked"
