I updated my Firefox to 7.0 (the latest one) and now the navigation bar, & tabs are nearly impossible for me to see. I have macular degeneration & cataracts so I need contrast. I don't get why websites etc all seem to think light gray & light blue are good text colors especially against an almost identical background. It would be really lovely if somebody could figure out a way for us to customize those areas. The internet is quite a challenge for those of us who don't see well. Thanks for your help

hello,

Other than changing the color schemes / window themes of the OS, another way would be to try different Firefox themes and choose a suitable one. You can browse themes here Firefox Themes / Personas

For the font colors you have to try the Firefox settings which suits you best: Tools > Options > Content. Under 'Fonts & Colors" click 'Colors'. Here on the left you can choose the suitable colors for the text and background. Also make sure to uncheck the box near "Allow pages to choose .........".

Hope this helps.

You can use an extension to set a default font and font size and page zoom on web pages.

Thanks it was helpful. Unfortunately when you don't let the websites choose the colors etc you loose all the graphics. Except ads, of course haha, Forgot how to get to the personas and that helped some. I appreciate the reply.
