My bookmark button is in the wrong location
Next to the search bar there is an icon for HOME and also a icon for Bookmarks (to show recently used, ect....). Im not sure how, but now this has been moved to the same line as my bookmarks (directly below the search bar, and to the far right of all my bookmarks). If I turn on the file menu, the bookmark icon dissappears all together and if I customize the tookbal it shows that the bookmarl button is directly next to the home button. But when I close the customize screen down the bookmark button reverts to below the searhc bar.
This has just recenlty occured and I am not sure why it is doing this.
I have tried to uninstall firefox and reinstall, both with and without saving my settings.
Im stumped here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is the intended action of that Bookmarks button.
When the Bookmarks Toolbar is showing the button appears there, when you hide the Bookmarks Toolbar it moves up to the Navigation Toolbar, to the right of the Home button.
And when the Menu Bar is selected to show all the time, that button disappears altogether. That button was added to Firefox to give you access to your bookmarks when the Menu Bar with the Bookmarks menu item is hidden.
Also, when you open the toolbar Customize mode, that button shows on the Navigation toolbar.
So with menu bar off and bookmark toolbar on it should show the bookmark button on the same line as the bookmarks? I was just lookin back and see that I somehow had the bookmarks showing with the bookmark icon right next to the home icon (to the right of the search bar).
I'm not sure what changed. Any idea how I could have had the setup as I described?
No I can't figure out how it could have been placed there with the Bookmarks Toolbar being shown - unless you were looking at a different Bookmarks button.
Are you aware that there are two identical Bookmarks buttons? One has a little drop-mark arrow (the button that starts out in the Bookmarks toolbar) and another that starts out in the Palette, which doesn't have that "arrow" and opens / closes the Bookmarks Sidebar. The button for the Bookmarks Sidebar doesn't get moved around by hiding the Menu Bar or the Bookmarks Toolbar, is stays where the user places it.
