Is the problem that you don't know that you have an ad blocker, or don't know what an ad blocker is. Currently some hit you with that and provide time outs equal to the rotten commercial where you look at a blank screen with a count down timer for the amount of time you would have saved No harm with a black screen it can't brain wash you.

Extensions such as "Adblock Plus", "Site blocker", a hosts file

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
