In FX 8 (WinXP and Linux) I'm not able to change a route of the Google Maps routeplanner via drag&drop, the markers of start and destination don't appear and therefore cannot be moved, either.
Usually (IE, Firefox 7 and below) if you go along the blue line of a route planned by Google Maps, a small circle appears which can be dragged and dropped to other roads so that the routeplanner changes the route. This is impossible with Fx 8, the circle doesn't appear and when trying to drag&drop I only move the map. The same applies to the markers which mark the start and destination of the route, they are not visible and cannot be moved. Disabling Adblock and Firegestures didn't solve the problem. When the page is loading for a moment you can see the symbol for an image which is not yet loaded both where the markers should be and if you go along the line with the mouse. As soon as the page is completely loaded you don't see this anymore.

In between I found out that the missing graphics don't make it over our company's proxy server, for instance the web console says:
[12:17:50.246] GET http://maps.gstatic.com/mapfiles/markers2/marker_greenB.png [HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required 47ms]
This has worked in the previous versions of Firefox without any problem but explains why it doesn't work in Win and Linux on the same machine while on my computer at home it works. Should this be a problem in passing the authentication data to the proxy?
I have the same problem using Firefox 8 in a company PC, through a proxy. The problem does not occur with previous Firefox versions nor with other web browsers like Internet Explorer. This is one example of message that appears in the web console when I look for an address in Google Maps:
[18:20:40.459] GET http://maps.gstatic.com/mapfiles/markers2/red_markers_A_J2.png [HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required ( The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. ) 0ms]
Those markers ( http://maps.gstatic.com/mapfiles/markers2/red_markers_A_J2.png ) don't appear in the map.
Firefox is my favourite web browser, but this problem is really annoying... HELP, PLEASE!
Gewysig op
And the problem persists in Firefox 9, no changes at all.
