What is the name of the bookmaks file in Firefox 8.0.1? How can I designate a different location for the bookmarks file?

Thanks,

Hi,

The places.sqlite file in your Firefox Profile Folder stores the bookmarks and the history. This is what you see in Bookmarks (Alt + B) and History (Alt + S) or in the window of Show All History (Ctrl + Shift +H) and Show All Bookmarks (Ctrl + Shift + B). The bookmarkbackups folder in your profile contains dated backups of just the bookmarks which shows up in Import and Backup > Restore section of the Show All History / Show All Bookmarks window.

To move your profile and files please see this and this.
