For some reason, attempts to update Firefox beyond the last iteration of version 8 have become futile. I am often reminded that a new version of Firefox is available, but after supposedly installing the update, HELP / ABOUT FIREFOX still shows version 8.0 is my current version. In a few days, I am again reminded that FF v.9.x is available. Please advise.
