Not all bookmarks imported from IE. Some are scripts that fill in passwords for me. How can I import these?

Not all bookmarks imported successfully from IE. Some are actually scripts that I put shortcuts for into the Windows Favorites folder that fill in passwords for me (created by a program called Autoit). Cannot find any folder containing Firefox bookmarks. This is a dealbreaker for me. I do not want to type in my passwords every time I check my web e-mail accounts.

Firefox can save your passwords for you in a more secure format. This article has more information: How do I make Firefox remember my usernames and passwords?

If you really want to use a bookmark for that, you could check the AutoIt documentation on how to re-create them for Firefox. (I'm not sure how their syntax works.)

By the way, you should update to 3.6.28 or Fx11, since version 3.6.12 is several months behind on security updates.

In reply to your suggestion to save passwords in Firefox, the scripts in question are complicated affairs that type in username, tab to next box, type in password, tab to next box und so weiter. In other words, one mouse click replacing several. Saving my passwords in Firefox doesn't make things easier, and presents a security risk I don't want to have to take.

Are you saying that there is no folder in which I can park these scripts and have them appear in my bookmarks? Why didn't Firefox import all my favorites? It missed a whole lot of them, not just the script shortcuts. What do I do to make Firefox grab all my favorites?

Regarding the scripts, since this is an AutoIt feature, you might find some help on their forums. This thread looks potentially relevant (but over my head): FF.au3 (V0.6.0.0b) - AutoIt Forums.

Regarding the incomplete import, that sometimes happens with deep nesting. This thread has some approaches to try: Only 1/3rd of my bookmarks imported from IE. How do I move the rest? | Firefox Support Forum | Firefox Help.
